SFC PLAYER SELECTION:

Synergy Football Club is a Select Premier Level Club with One Premier Team per age group starting at the U10 Academy level and going thru the U19 age group.

Quality not Quantity is the Player Selection theme at SFC.

Each year SFC conducts several "Talent ID Mini-Camps" in July and August, which give players from across Vermont, New Hampshire and New York an opportunity to be selected to a Synergy FC Premier Team.

In 2011, over 60 non-SFC players attended the SFC Talent ID Mini-Camps - only 25 of these 60 players received playing contracts for the 2011-2012 playing year.

SFC TEAM TRAINING (Volume and Quality):

The SFC U10 Academy and SFC U12 Academy Teams Train and Play from September thru early July.

This training and playing period includes the SFC Fall Training Program in September and October. Synergy FC is the only club in Vermont conducting a full-time Fall Training Program with 2-3 one and a half (1.5) hour long training sessions per week in September & October.

The SFC U14 thru U18 Players have limited activity at the club in September and October due to the High School playing season, but re-activate full-time in November.

The SFC U10 thru U17/18 Academy Teams have a minimum of Three Training Sessions per week from November thru July with each training session 1.5 to 2 hours in duration depending on the team.

(The SFC U19 Team is only active in May, June and July due to the collegiate playing commitments for the players on this team.)

Teams that are preparing for a major event (Dallas Cup, Disney Showcase, Jefferson Cup, Regional or National Championship) may increase training volume leading up to the event.

Synergy Football Club strives to provide a minimum of three training sessions to one game (3-1 training to game ratio) for All Players.

"In order for true Player Development gains to be made players must Train, Play and Watch the game as much as possible. We offer our players as many training and playing opportunities as any non-residential club in the country."

SFC - CLUB FACT:
SFC incorporates an "Open-Door" training policy, which enables players to cross-train with any SFC team during the year. Many SFC players take advantage of this opportunity and regularly attend 6, 7 or 8 training sessions per week.
