Synergy Football Club
(2009-2010: U10 thru U13 Teams)

The Club: SYNchronized +EnERGY = SYNERGY Football Club

Synergy Football Club is a Premier Youth Soccer Organization established in 2005. Synergy FC is registered with the Vermont Youth Soccer Association (VSA), US Youth Soccer Association (USYSA), US Club Soccer, and is a member of US Youth Soccer Region I.

The Coaches:

Hugh Brown will serve as the Synergy FC U10 thru U13 Boys Head Trainer and Director of Player Development in 2009-2010.
Hugh holds an 'A' license from the United States Soccer Federation and is entering his 13th year as a professional coach.
Hugh is a native of Atlanta, Georgia and moved to Vermont in 2003 when he was hired as Assistant Men's Coach at the University of Vermont by NCAA coaching legend Roy Patton.
In addition to coaching at the highest levels of US Youth Soccer, Hugh spent seven years coaching at the collegiate level, eight years with the Olympic Development Program (ODP) in Region III (southeast), and has coached with top teams in the Professional Development League (PDL) and A-League (USISL Division I).

We are fortunate to have an outstanding group of Assistant Trainers and Match Day Coaches working with the players at Synergy Football Club in 2009-2010:

The Teams:
The teams at Synergy Football Club are comprised of top players from throughout Vermont, New York and New Hampshire. The typical Synergy Player is seeking an opportunity to train in a professional environment and has aspirations of playing football at the highest possible levels.

Training Facilities:
All Synergy FC Teams will seek opportunities to train and play at the finest facilities available.
The primary indoor training site (November-April) for SFC is The Field House in Shelburne, Vermont.
SFC Teams split outdoor training sessions (April-July) between The Field House – outdoor fields and the Tree Farm Recreational Complex in Essex, Vermont.
In 2009-2010 Synergy Teams may also hold special training sessions and mini-camps at additional locations including Golden Goal Soccer Park (Fort Ann, NY) and the Adirondack Sports Complex (Glenn Falls, NY).

2009-2010 Tentative Schedule:
The teams at Synergy FC will strive for 3-1 training to game ratios. Due to the limitations of indoor training space and times teams are normally limited to two training sessions per week from November thru early April, but teams expand to three sessions per week from April thru July.

Indoor Sessions: (November through early April) – Team Training Sessions are 1.5 hours in duration

  • U10 – Monday (Games), Thursday and Sunday (Training)
  • U11/U12 – Tuesday (Games), Friday and Sunday (Training)
  • U13 – Tuesday (Games), Friday, Sunday (Training)

Games and Events:
Synergy Teams/Players must be exposed to appropriate levels of competition in order for proper player development to occur. Decisions regarding appropriate events are determined on a per team basis by the Director of Player Development.

  • January/February – Event TBD
  • March – Outdoor Event – Scorpion Bowl
  • April – Outdoor Event – Seacoast Friendlies
  • May – Outdoor Event – US Club Soccer Regionals
  • June – Outdoor Event – Coastal Cup, FC Delco Cup, Nordic Cup
