Synergy boys capture second win in the group with a 4-1 victory over Midwest Regional Champions Downers Grove (ILL).

Synergy forward Paul Bianchi put in the first goal at 23:00 and Drew Marquis netted the second from a Phil McCormick corner (35:00) to give SFC a 2-0 lead at the half.

More possession and many more chances in the second half and in the 63 rd minute Bianchi scored again from an Elia Louis corner kick. In the 85 th Downers Grove drew one back on a nice header from 12 yards out off a driven service from 40.

A positive response from SFC two minutes later when Nathaniel Horton hit a blast from 30 into the upper right corner (87 th minute).

Synergy will play the final group match on Sunday at 2:30 pm against Oregon, the Northwest Regional Champion.S
