Good Times at Annual Synergy Club Photo and BBQ

Great weather, great friends, great food – Great Time for Everyone at the Synergy FC Club Photo and BBQ night!

Andy and Deb Shaw hosted over 150 people at the 2009 Photo/BBQ Party at there house/sports complex on Wednesday, June 17.

The annual get together gives all of the Synergy parents, players and friends a chance to relax, celebrate and enjoy another great year of development and friendship.

"It is great to have every player and parent together in one place…and for the Shaw's to host just makes it feel even more like a family get together." Hugh Brown, SFC Director commented.
Brown continued, "These parents and players are the founders of something special, they are pioneers, they did not just join up for something that has been around for 15 or 20 years they are the lifeblood of Synergy FC! We are a club dedicated to player development, no politics, no hidden agendas, just pure football and social development."

Highlights of the event included great food with Chef Ed on the grill. Bosnian sausage! A huge cake with the Synergy FC logo. A great club photo with all teams included. Soccer tennis and small-sided games with all ages playing along side one another. A deluxe Weber gas grill for Coach Hugh. Speeches and presentations by the Synergy players about their experiences at SFC. Inclusive attitudes and lots of love for each other!

Another part of the evening was saying farewell to Greg Bohn and his parents Sue and Erik. The Bohn's are moving to Ohio as part of a work related transition for Erik's firm.

"Greg is a talented player and a solid person and the Bohn's are a class act – as good as it gets for a football family. We will miss them deeply and wish them all the best with the move and transition to Ohio." – Coach Hugh commented.

As part of the farewell, Greg was presented with a Champions League Ball which every player signed.

More to come…. Be on the lookout for more Barbeques and Football this summer from Synergy FC.
